Latent Logic CEO addresses The Telegraph’s Smart Mobility Summit

Our CEO, Kirsty Lloyd-Jukes, yesterday addressed The Daily Telegraph’s inaugural Smart Mobility Summit in London.

Speaking on a panel discussion on how to shift public misconception of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs), Kirsty talked about the importance of industry collaboration to tackle this challenge. As the lead party on the OmniCAV project, funded by Innovate UK, we are working local government, insurance companies, and vehicle manufacturers bring about the smooth and safe introduction of AVs.

Explaining that around 90% of accidents in AV trials in the US are caused by humans crashing into them, Kirsty outlined the benefits in terms of cost, safety, and scale of training AVs in simulated environments. We’re are really excited to be making this possible by providing state-of-the-art, AI-based models of vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians to make those simulated environments as realistic as possible
